A graduate of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law, Roderique is a researcher, consultant, broadcast commentator, and former podcast host. Billie Jean King is the founder of the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative. She has long been a champion for social change and equality. King created new inroads for all genders in sports and beyond during her legendary career and she continues to make her mark today.
King was named one of the "100 Most Important Americans of the 20th Century" by Life Magazine and, in 2009, in recognition of her work as a social justice pioneer and her accomplishments in sports, President Obama awarded her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor. In 2020, King became the first woman to have an annual global team sports event named in her honor when Fed Cup, the women’s world cup of tennis, was rebranded as the Billie Jean King Cup. Her memoir, ALL IN: An Autobiography, published by Knopf in August 2021, is garnering rave reviews.
In 2014, King, and her partner Ilana Kloss, launched the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative to address equality and inclusion issues in the workplace. In 2018, King and Kloss were named to the ownership group of the Los Angeles Dodgers and in 2019 King’s deep Southern California roots were recognized with the opening of the Billie Jean King Main Library in her hometown of Long Beach, California. In 2020 King was honored with the release of the Billie Jean King Barbie doll, part of Mattel’s Inspiring Women Series, and joined the ownership groups of the Los Angeles Sparks and Angel City FC.
King grew up playing tennis in the California public parks and won 39 Grand Slam titles during her career. She helped form the Virginia Slims Series and founded the Women’s Tennis Association. She defeated Bobby Riggs in one of the greatest moments in sports history – the Battle of the Sexes on Sept. 20, 1973.
In 2017, Fox Searchlight released the critically acclaimed film, Battle of the Sexes, starring Academy Award® winner Emma Stone as King and Academy Award® nominee Steve Carrell as Bobby Riggs, which depicts both players’ battles on and off the court as well as the cultural and social impact of the groundbreaking match.
In 1974, King co-founded World TeamTennis, the revolutionary professional team tennis league. That same year she also founded the Women’s Sports Foundation. In August 2006, the National Tennis Center, home of the US Open, was renamed the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in honor of her accomplishments on and off the court. In 2014, President Obama named King to the Presidential Delegation for the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. In 2018 King received a Lifetime Achievement Award as part of the prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards. In 2019 ESPN established the Billie Jean King Youth Leadership Award, which is presented annually at the network’s Sports Humanitarian Awards ceremony. King is an inaugural member of the advisory council to the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum, serves on the board of the Women’s Sports Foundation, is an adidas Global Ambassador, is a past member of the board of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, and a past member of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition.

Dr. Bernice A. King is a global thought leader, strategist, solutionist, orator, peace advocate, and CEO of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (The King Center), which was founded by her mother as the official living memorial to the life, work, and legacy of her father. In this position, Bernice continues to advance her parents’ legacy of nonviolent social change through policy, advocacy, research, as well as education & training through the Kingian philosophy of nonviolence, which she re-branded Nonviolence365™️ (NV365).
Through her work at The King Center, she educates youth and adults around the world about the nonviolent principles and strategies modeled by her parents. Under her leadership, the Center has implemented numerous initiatives reaching over 500,000 people around the world, including the Beloved Community Leadership Academy, Students with King, NV365 Education & Training, and The Beloved Community Talks, a courageous conversations platform about the difficult racial and social justice issues impacting our world. Dr. King led the development of an NV365 certification program for trainers, which provides individuals with the opportunity to teach the NV365 curriculum on behalf of The King Center. She is an instructor for the program and a trainer.
Dr. King holds a Doctorate of Law from Emory University, a Master of Divinity Degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Spellman College. She also received an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Wesley College and Clinton College. From 1990 to 1992, she served as a law clerk for Judge Glenda Hatchett, the Chief Judge of The Fulton County Juvenile Detention Court. She served for seven years as an Assistant Pastor of Greater Rising Star Baptist Church in Atlanta where she organized and developed several new ministries. In 2007, she established the Be A King Scholarship in honor of her mother at Spelman College. Dr. King spearheaded the 2013 “Let Freedom Ring” event commemorating the 50th - Anniversary of The March on Washington and her father’s “I Have a Dream” speech. The global event included President Barack Obama, President Bill Clinton, and President Jimmy Carter, members of Congress, as well as many other international leaders, dignitaries, and entertainers.
In March 2018, Dr. King was fortunate to have a private audience with his holiness, Pope Francis. As an alumna of Leadership Atlanta (class of 2020,) she effectively utilized her influence to encourage Atlanta Business leaders to become more active in support of major racial equity and social justice issues, including the successful passage of Georgia's Hate Crime legislation. Dr. King has received numerous awards and recognitions. Recently she received an honorary Doctorate (Doctor of Humane Letters) from her alma mater, Spelman College and an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Grinnell College. In 2021, the Atlanta Business Chronicle Lifetime Achievement Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Additionally, The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation honored her in 2020 with their highest award, The Phoenix Award, which recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to society. As a noted author, she has to her credit, “Hard Questions, Heart Answers,” as well as a children’s book entitled “It Starts with Me,” which is a part of The King Center’s Be Love movement.
She is a licensed attorney and member of the State Bar of Georgia; a certified Mediator with the State of Georgia; a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, the International Women’s Forum (IWF), the National Council of Negro Women; a Board member of the National Black Bank Foundation as well as Faith and Prejudice.
Dr. King is an innovative, inspirational, and transformational leader. She is dedicated to ensuring that her parents’ legacy and teachings, The King Center, as well as the work of creating the Beloved Community, with Nonviolence365 as the pathway, are introduced to new generations of influencers.

Trevor Noah is the most successful comedian in Africa and was the host of the Emmy® Award-winning “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central for seven years. Under Trevor, “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” broke free from the restraints of a 30-minute linear show, producing engaging social content, award-winning digital series, podcasts and more for its global audience. “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” received numerous Emmy Award nominations in a very competitive and increasingly crowded field. This year, “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” landed a record number of Emmy Award nominations with seven. It picked up its most nominations since Trevor became host of the Comedy Central show in 2015. Trevor originally joined “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” in 2014 as a contributor. Additionally, Trevor Noah and “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” have received other awards and nominations including NAACP, Critic’s Choice, MTV, GLAAD, Webby and People’s Choice.*
Trevor served as the Grammy Awards host for three years in a row, with the 2023 show garnering the highest viewership numbers since 2020. Noah is a Grammy nominee himself. His standup special “Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia” was nominated for best comedy album at the 2020 Grammys.
Trevor's success has also spanned to sold out stand-up comedy shows over 5 continents. His recently announced “Off The Record” World Tour stops in 28 cities across the US, before heading for international destinations. Trevor’s “Back To Abnormal Tour” saw him sell out multiple nights at the O2 Arena in London, perform across Europe including selling the most tickets ever by a non-German in Frankfurt, Germany, as well as Madison Square Garden, The LA Forum, two shows at the Chase Center in San Francisco and ended his run with two sold out shows at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

The book not only provides a fascinating and honest perspective on South Africa’s racial history, but it will inspire young readers looking to improve their own lives. Day Zero Productions, a joint venture between Paramount Global and Trevor Noah, develops and produces diverse, high-quality creative content for a global audience. With projects set up both within the Paramount Global family, as well as at other studios, streamers, and live platforms, Day Zero focuses on entertaining and impactful content, with an eye toward authentic stories from diverse points of view. The company just announced it is developing a series based on Kiese Laymon’s coming-of-age novel “Long Division.” The book, which was published by Simon & Schuster in 2021, explores family, hope, grief, love, and race through poetic language and satire. In 2018, Noah launched the Trevor Noah Foundation to improve equitable access to quality education for underserved youth in South Africa. In collaboration with the government, the private sector, philanthropists, community leaders and members, TNF implements dynamic programs that catalyze improved education outcomes for teachers, schools and their communities. In a few short years, TNF has renovated schools, trained young teachers in leadership, increased access to computers and digital skills and provided much-needed career guidance. The Foundation currently impacts over 600 teachers, 7500 youth, and countless families within the communities.

Jason Mercer is the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board’s Chief Market Analyst and Director of Service Channels. He leads TRREB’s market analysis program that provides products and services that help REALTORS® and their clients fully understand trends in the GTA housing market and underlying economic drivers. Jason also oversees TRREB’s MLS® Services Department and the delivery of information and data products to the TRREB membership.
Jason has private and public sector experience in the real estate industry, having previously held positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. He possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Science in Planning degree from the University of Toronto.
Jason is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners, a Registered Professional Planner with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and a Member of Lambda Alpha International, the Land Economics Society.

Ray Wong has over 30 years or market research experience. Overseeing 60+ researchers across Canada, his primary responsibility is to ensure that the commercial and residential data collection is all encompassing, reliable and accurate and that it adheres to the Altus Group data governance guidelines. Ray works closely with both internal and external clients to ensure the information meets their needs and that it is both accurate and timely. He also regularly presents on key market trends to clients and at industry events.
Prior to joining Altus Group, Ray was the Head of Research for CBRE Canada. He was responsible for the collection of market intelligence and publishing marketing market reports on a regular basis. Ray interacted with both internal and external clients in respect to presenting and discussing real estate information, trends and analysis. He initiated and introduced the CBRE Econometric Real Estate Forecasting model in Canada for office and industrial real estate. In 2007 was the Managing Director, Americas Research Operations for CBRE, is responsible for the strategic development and day-to-day operations of the company’s local market research across the America
